The Anatomy Olympiad is an event organized annually by the Riga Stradiņš University Student Union (RSU SU) for the students of the first study year. The Olympiad brings together students from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, as well as other participating countries. Its aim is to test the participants knowledge of anatomy with catchy non-standard tasks that make students look at anatomy and learn about it from another aspect.

This strengthens the ability to work in a team, because participation in the Olympics takes place in groups of 5 people (1 captain + 4 team members). The team will have to perform both theoretical and practical tasks. The Olympics are held in English with Latin terms.

Students knowledge of anatomy is tested on the topics of the first study year:

  1. Musculoskeletal system;
  2. Central nervous system;
  3. Internal organ systems.
