Review of the event "Erudite" 2021
On April 7, 2021, the annual erudition event Erudīts organized by RSU SU took place. This year's theme was sports, so this year the knowledge of RSU students was tested in this field.
On March 25, the Sport out the Erudite Challenge was published on the RSU SU Facebook page. Within the framework of this challenge, each RSU student had the opportunity to show their creativity, as well as to move in these pandemic conditions, fulfilling the rules of the challenge - involve Erudite in their activities, for example, run the word Erudite using a running application, walk exactly as many kilometers as there is in the word erudite etc. The one who sported out Erudite the most creatively received an award from the adventure travel company PostNos.
Before the main event, on March 26, on the RSU SU Facebook page, students were offered to participate in another interesting challenge, this time a challenge was called Champion Breakfast. As part of this challenge, RSU students had the opportunity to share their healthy breakfast ideas. The best, most interestingly created, as well as the healthiest breakfast won the award from the natural food producer Keefa Simply Food.
At the end of this project, a remote format event was organized on the Zoom platform, where the participants' knowledge of sports was tested, thus determining the most knowledgeable representative of RSU in this field. In order to test the knowledge of the participants of the event as much as possible, the event took place in four rounds:
Basic things in the world of sports. In this round, a poll with several multiple choice answers was prepared on the Poll Everywhere platform.
Read, think, push. The Kahoot platform created a quiz from various descriptions of sports teams, sports and facts about the field.
What is it? The task of this round consisted of pictures, in which only specific parts of athletes recognized in Latvia and in the world, as well as perhaps not very well-known sports, were visible. The task of the participants was to guess the representatives of these fields and sports.
Secret box. In the last round of this event, a digital box containing sports-related items was prepared. Based on the description of these items, participants had to write on the page they thought was in this box, and then, by showing the page against the screen, find out if their answer was correct.
At the end of all rounds, the event organizers summarized all the results of the four rounds and identified the three winners who were best able to prove their knowledge in the field of sports, winning various prizes provided by the event sponsors - BAMS Pool House, Caffeine, Muesli Graci and Ze Donats.
