Semper Anticus

Semper Anticus (lat. - always ahead) is an officially registered popular scientific journal created by RSU Student Union and the content of it is created by the students themselves.

It represents both health care and social sciences, explains the results of students' research in a simple way and offers interviews with inspiring personalities. To ensure scientific accuracy, each original article is sent to experts for review before publication.

The target audience of Semper Anticus extends far beyond the boundaries of RSU. The magazine is published in Latvian and English in both printed and electronic form at least once a year. Particular attention is paid not only to the content, but also to the visual image of the publication - the images on the cover of the magazine are unique works of art created by the students themselves.

The Semper Anticus web blog offers an even wider range of topics, which in an easy-to-understand way tells about current events in various fields of science and gives the opportunity to ask questions to prominent medical and scientific personalities in the Ask Me Anything section.

After the publication of the current issue, the magazine is available free of charge at RSU premises. Printed versions of previous editions are available at the RSU Library and the National Library of Latvia.

We invite all students to share their research interests and publish in the Semper Anticus journal and blog. Guidelines for writing articles can be found on the website.
