The 5th meeting of the Council
The 5th meeting of the Council took place on 24 March. During it, several new student representatives were elected, topical issues of March were discussed, as well as other issues related to RSU SU were discussed. It should be noted that this was the shortest Council meeting in 2021.
A total of 3 student representatives were elected at this meeting - Alise Stugle, a third-year student of the Faculty of Medicine, joined the Board of Senators, Helēna Smiltniece, a first-year student will start faculty councillor duties in the Faculty of Pharmacy, in the Faculty of European Studies in the job of faculty councillor Sāra Elizabete Vīnberga was approved.
Congratulations to all the newly elected and we wish you strength in your responsible positions!
Following the meeting, the Council was introduced to the changes in the regulations of the student scientific groups, the corrections made were discussed and a discussion ensued, which resulted in the decision to postpone the approval of these regulations until it is fully clarified.
As the regulations for the allocation of social support funding were approved at the February Council meeting, the approval of this project commission followed. Three members of the Council were nominated and elected to the Commission - Anna Kricka, Laima Kampa and Iluta Žīgure.
The last, but no less important item on the agenda was the reports of the RSU SU and ISA Boards on the work started and completed in March.
At the end of the Council meeting, Amanda Zūle, a third-year student of the Faculty of Public Health and Social Welfare, was recognized as the most active member of the RSU SU of the month. Congratulations and thank you for your active involvement!
