International Student Conference 2021

Despite the fact that the International Student Conference “Health and Social Sciences” of Rīga Stradiņš university in 2021 took place completely remotely, it gathered a record number of participants both in terms of the number and the countries represented. During the two days of the conference, about 400 scientific works from 30 different countries of the world were presented. In total, almost 3,500 spectators enjoyed the ambitious event in the virtual environment on both days!

The guest speakers of the opening event of the conference highlighted several important topics - the development of robotic medicine, the impact of COVID-19 on global health care, as well as the "evolution" of the concept of freedom of expression in recent years.

Along with 33 scientific sections, the conference participants were able to participate in plenary sessions, guest lectures and also workshops on both days! The opening event, scientific sections, plenary sessions and workshops are still available on the conference e-platform, where anyone can view them!

Definitely, the International Student Conference could not have taken place without the supporters of our conference, including Rīga Stradiņš university, RePharm holding, MikroTik, E.Gulbis laboratory, Latvian Pediatric Association, European Commission and many others, without whom organizing the conference would not have been possible in these challenging conditions!
