Meeting with Rīga 45. high school pupils

On February 23, the RSU Students Union was invited to visit Riga 45th high school, with the aim of introducing pupils to the study opportunities of Rīga Stradiņš university in a remote format.

The councillors of different faculties of RSU SU gave the young people a general insight into the study life at Rīga Stradiņš university, told about the admission process, matriculation, the most important differences in different study programs and faculties and about extracurricular activities offered by the university to students. Pupils were also invited to take part in a discussion, sharing their ideas about what studies are and what it means to study at a Higher Education Institution.

In the second part of the meeting, on the Zoom platform, the faculty councillors were divided into several rooms so that the pupils could ask the questions of interest to the representatives of a particular faculty. This activity gave young people not only the opportunity to get to know the specifics of each faculty, but also to hear the students' personal experience. Representatives of RSU SU revealed to the students how they have been during the study years, what continues to motivate students to study further, why and how students have chosen what and where they study.

Big thanks to all the faculty councillors for their responsiveness and to all the pupils for their active involvement in the discussions. This was a unique and interesting experience to get involved in an educational event organized by the pupils. May you succeed and see you in the RSU corridors!
