On February 15th, the 4th Council meeting was held, where three faculty Councilors, three student senators and an LSA (Latvian Student Union) Councilor were elected and LSA's current affairs were reviewed. The composition of the "Support for raising the competence of RSU SU representatives" commission was approved and the 2022 budget reports of RSU SU were discussed.

At the beginning of the Council meeting, guests, representatives of the LSA, had arrived, who introduced the members of the Council and others present with the current affairs of the LSA.

Patrīcija Kleinberga, a first-year student of the Faculty of European Studies, has been elected as a faculty Councillor, Alise Šaule, a first-year student, will be the representative of the students in the Council of the Faculty of Communication, while Elīna Tetere, a second-year student of the Faculty of Public Health and Social Welfare, will represent the students' opinion in her respective faculty. Luīze Monta Remese, a first-year student of the Faculty of Medicine, was elected as a LSA Councilor.

On the other hand, students in the Senate will be represented by Iluta Žīgure, a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Pharmacy, Jānis Jurkāns, a second-year student in the Faculty of Medicine, and Alise Antuanete Sniķere, a third-year student in the Faculty of Medicine.

During the meeting, the approval of the "Support for raising the competence of RSU SU representatives" commission took place, and Inga Barvika, Jurģis Milaknis, Eva Vītoliņa, Elizabete Korule and Alīna Babjuka will work in it. We congratulate the newly elected and wish them strength and success in their work!

During the meeting, SU financial administrator Arvis Pauliņš introduced the audience with the RSU SU 2022 budget report, the thematic variants of the RSU SU symbol skeleton Stasis sticker design for Valentine's Day, Easter, Līgo holidays and Christmas were approved, as well as an informative summary prepared by the Communication Department was presented in connection with the questionnaire about the results of the RSU SU logo and presented the progress in creating a new logo.

 

At the end of the meeting, the monthly reports of the RSU SU and ISA board on the completed and started work were reviewed, while the ISC 2023 (International Student Conference) project manager Klāvs Putenis introduced the meeting participants to the current events of the project.

 

As usual, at the end of the meeting, the member of the month for January was announced - Faculty of Medicine first-year student Paula Koziņeca. Congratulations and we wish you to continue to be active in the Student Union!
