RSU Student Research and Innovation Grants

Student research and innovation grants are an opportunity for Rīga Stradiņš University (hereinafter - RSU) students to realize their ideas. Grants are intended to support and motivate RSU students for research, including entrepreneurship development and their own skills development.

Any RSU student can receive a grant - both full-time and part-time students. Undergraduate and graduate students can apply in a team of 2 to 5 people, however residency students are also invited to participate individually.

The first steps in developing student research and innovation grants began in 2019, however more purposeful works in their implementation were started in April last year, along with the improved regulations implementation. It took several months to set up, but the work process continued to run in parallel - RSU Student Union and Science Department managed the financing of this project issues. The road to creation was long and the goal seemed still unattainable, but this year in January, everything necessary to create the first call for grant applications is provided.

The implementation of this project was a great team effort involving the organizational side provided by such structural units as RSU Student Union, Science Department and Alumni Association. The project is financially provided by Rīga Stradiņš University, Institute of Dentistry and Business Incubator B-Space. Special thanks are expressed To the Institute of Dentistry on the opportunities provided to implement dental-related research.
