International student department, 4th year

What kind of a Union member will you be?

I am a responsible person and I believe that I could contribute to the council in a positive manner by bringing the international student’s interest forward and by giving it a voice.

Why do you want to candidate in RSU SU Council elections?

I have interest into suggesting my candidacy in the RSU SU council elections because I would like to get involved with the group of students that are actively participating in the council and are making important decisions that will eventually have an impact and influence to our University.

I think that a constant dialogue with the representatives of our University is important to deal with problems that may arise and to shape them in order for future students to have an improved quality of experience in all general aspects of our University.

One thing that should absolutely be introduced in our university?

The current decisional power of the university is split into two main organs: Studējošo pašpārvalde (SP) and International Students Association (ISA).
These two organs are working separately but they are dependent on each other.
I would like to see a unique, centralized, representative board that speaks for ALL students and doesn’t distinguish between local students and international students.
