The Occupational and Environmental Medicine Interest Group was reformed in 2019. The interest group aims to support students’ interest in the discipline, to explore occupational and environmental diseases and the various health disorders associated with environmental and occupational factors.
A working adult spends about 2/3 of their life at work and is directly affected by the environment they spend so much time in. The work environment has an impact on both physical and mental health. Joining the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Interest Group is useful to every student, even if this discipline is not included in their field of specialisation.
The interest group is designed for students with vast knowledge in medicine, rehabilitation and the surrounding environment.
Meetings are scheduled once a month. Within the frame of the interest group participants will have the opportunity to elaborate their research paper on a topic of their choice, as well as visit companies, state environmental monitoring institutions and more
